100 Lekë denomination was printed in the Bank of Albania Printing House for the first time in 1993. There are two variants of this note, which differ from one another from the year imprinted: 1993 and 1994. They were respectively issued in 16.03.1993 and 25.04.1994.

The same denomination was reprinted in 1996 (by "Tumba Bruk" Sweden Company), where security features have improved, but the year is different. It was issued in 08.05.1997.
