The Supervisory Council is charged with the supreme direction and supervision of the policies, administration and operations of the Bank of Albania. In carrying out its functions, the Supervisory Council must periodically assess the economic situation, including the monetary, credit and exchange rate policies. Its functions and duties, as well as its composition are set forth in the Law on the Bank of Albania (Chapter VI).
