The primary objective of the Bank of Albania is to achieve and maintain prices stability.
Through its policies and in view of the duties assigned by the law, the Bank of Albania makes efforts to achieve this principal objective, which implies control on inflation level. The Bank of Albania, prior to compiling the policies it should follow, it determines the final targets, middle targets and the instruments and the instruments through which it will operate to achieve these targets.
The Bank of Albania, in accordance with its primary objective and based on the domestic banking market, promotes and supports the development of the foreign exchange regime and systems, the domestic financial market, the payment system, and assists in improving monetary and lending conditions, supporting the country's economic stability and development.
The other objectives of the Bank of Albania, conditioned by its primary objective, should promote the maintaining of liquidity, solvency and normal functioning of the market-based banking system.
Any other objective or task assigned to the Bank of Albania is conditioned by the achievement of the primary objective.
