Comments and analysis constitutes a summary analysis of the quarterly financial situation of Albanian banking system. The analysis is preceded by a brief description of international market development and operating macroeconomic environment of the banks. The analysis focus the balance sheet structure, assets quality, capital adequacy and liquidity ratios as well as sensitivity to systemic risks. An overview is provided of the financial condition of the system taking in consideration income, expense and its efficiency. The analysis is based on the financial data reported by banks to Bank of Albania and encompasses a total of 17 commercial banks operating in the country.
