The Bank of Albania hosted from 30 to 31 October 2006, its Sixth Annual Conference titled “Regional financial markets and financial stability - A concept between national sovereignty and globalization”. The conference attempted at addressing a broad range of issues related to financial stability against the backdrop of new financial trends in the region. It focused on recent financial market developments, the role of commercial banks in financial stability, surveillance and monetary policy issues.
