“The Real Value of Money” Vlorë, 2008
		This brochure describes all the educational activity carried out by the Bank of Albania in the city of Vlora, giving a special attention to the local high school challenge which gives students an insider's view of how the BoA makes monetary policy. Based on the chronology of the meetings and discussions that the Governor of the Bank of Albania and its experts had with the students and teachers of the district, the brochure has an internal rhythm that makes it dynamic. It also orients future participants by explaining the type of questions they will be faced with, illustrated by real examples. Published only in Albanian.

 

“The Real Value of Money”
		The purpose of this brochure is to level the playing field for first time participants and their teachers in “The Real Value of Money” challenge, Bank of Albania’s annual challenge for high school students.  In a very concise manner, it presents the reader with”The Real Value of Money “challenge, what this activity represents, and the reasons why Bank of Albania has introduced and organizes such a challenge, the type of questions it reserves for the competitors, illustrated with actual examples and of course photos of past events and participants, who have now become Bank of Albania’s youngest friends. 		Through narrating fragments from histories of banks in our region, this brochure aims at providing an overview of what the central bank does. Banks are like people. They have their typical life and history, curiosities, things said or implied. They grow, are transformed and developed, have their distinguishing features, but they are similar in essence. European Central Bank
		This brochure discloses to the public much information on the organization and functioning of the European Central Bank, on its management and governing bodies, and on the central banks of member states. It explains simply the links through which the compiling and implementation of the unified monetary policy of the European Union area pass, making a distinction between member states in the Euro area and those outside it. This brochure provides contact details and addresses of all central banks that are members of the EU. Published only in Albanian.

 

Preparations for the euro. Guideline on euro banknotes and coins

This brochure is prepared and printed by the European Bank and the Central Bank of Germany in Albanian. It provides information on the new currency and its security elements. It is complete, not only for the information but also for the illustrations of each banknote it provides. Published only in Albanian.

 

The European Community and the Euro
		It is only a part of the publications, articles disclosed in economic magazines, seminars held inside and outside the Bank of Albania, within the framework of the 2000 Euro information campaign, in which the Bank of Albania was engaged. The information provided to the public is simple, understandable and clear in its objective. Published in both English and Albanian.

 

A general overview on Euro coins

As it is already known, the Bank of Albania carried out a campaign for introducing euro. The publication and distribution of this flyer is part of this campaign. In German language, it has clear pictures of the new euro coins, while the Albanian version accompanying it contains the translated information about each denomination.
