Quarterly Monetary Policy Report, 2019/I

The new economic and monetary information suggests that the Albanian economy continues on a positive development trend. Aggregate demand continued to grow in the second half of the previous year, resulting in an increase in production, employment growth and improvement of main economic and financial balances. Our monetary policy continues to provide positive contribution, by generating a financial environment with low interest rates, and decelerating appreciation pressures on the exchange rate. The Bank of Albania judges that the current accommodative path of the monetary policy is adequate.
