Seventh annual meeting of the National Payment Systems Committee, December 16th, 2021

The seventh annual meeting of the National Payment System Committee (NPSC) took place on December 16th, 2021. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Luljeta Minxhozi, Chairwoman of this Committee and First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Albania, who addressed the achievements up to date and the priorities of the NPSC in the framework of the National Retail Payment Strategy. In addition to the Committee members, representatives of the World Bank were invited at the meeting.

Attendes at the meeting were presented with the fulfillment of some measures of the action plan of the National Retail Payment Strategy (2018), such as the implementation of the Law "On payment services"; the implementation of the project on the creation of Direct Debit; the project on the settlement system in Euro etc. The meeting also discussed short-term priorities and the necessary measures for their implementation, with the main focus on Financial Education.
