Contest for the drawings of themes to be featured on the Albanian legal tender 10,000 Lekë banknote

In accordance with the Supervisory Council decision 76/2017 “On approving the theme that will be featured on the Albanian legal tender 10,000 Lekë banknote”, the Bank of Albania organizes an open competition for the realization of drawings of the theme of this banknote.

The Bank of Albania invites all interested parties to participate in this competition.

Collecting the information

• Deadline: 7 May 2018, at 16:00
• Address: Bank of Albania, Protocol Office, Scanderbeg Square, No.1, Tirana.

Submission of the drawings

• Deadline: 25 June 2018, at 16:00.
• Address: Bank of Albania, Protocol Office, Scanderbeg Square, No.1, Tirana.
• Terms:  

• Drawings should be placed in sealed envelopes, with the name and full address of the applicant artist.
• Drawings inside the envelope should not have any identifying information of the artist (data will be marked only on the envelope).

Compensation

• Compensation Amount:  ALL 390,000 for the awarded drawings of a banknote (both sides) after the announcement of the winner by the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania.
• This compensation includes:

• Taxes withheld at source under the applicable legislation in the Republic of Albania;
• Condition for the transfer of copyrights from the winner to the Bank of Albania;
• Bank's right to request changes in the presented drawings.

The best proposed model will be selected by a commission established under the procedures approved by the Bank of Albania for this purpose.
