Decisions by the Supervisory Council, 18 January 2023

On 18 January 2023, the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania reviewed and decided to:

• Approve the work schedule of the Supervisory Council

The Supervisory Council assessed its activity in 2022 and approved the work schedule for 2023, as well as the schedule of the meetings to be held during the current year.

This schedule will be published on our website www.bankofalbania.org.

• Approve the re-minting of the Albanian metal coins, legal tender, the denominations: 5, 10 and 100 Lekë; and the reprinting of the Albanian banknote, legal tender, the denomination of 1000 Lekë.

This Decision stipulates the reminting of the 5, 10 and 100 Lekë metal coins, legal tender, and the reprinting of the 1000 Lekë banknote, legal tender, in order to meet the cash demand of the economy, in value and structure, as well as to ensure a regular supply for several years ahead.

The Supervisory Council was also informed on daily functional and operational activities of the Bank of Albania.
