Publication date: 02.03.2018

Today, on 1 March 2018, the Bank of Albania launched the new website, to present its communication philosophy in clearer terms and adapt to the behaviour of digital users.

As one of the main communication tools of the Bank of Albania with the public, we have paid particular attention to the quality, design and ease of use of the newly designed website www.bankofalbania.org

With a new and modern design, the website is more user-friendly and attractive. The new information, together with that in the old website (releases and speeches, publications, statistics, law and regulations) is presented in a new format.

Some of the new features:

  • Easier browsing: the subsections in the new website may be accessed at one click, from the full list of items of the main menu.
  • Update design: the overall design has been upgraded and improved, together with the improvements in various sections, with qualitative pictures of, for example, coins, banknotes and other graphic design elements. The upgrade aims at rendering the site more attractive to the visitors.
  • New functionalities: the integrated calendar, booking a visit at the Museum, info-graphics, downloading the exchange rate in different formats, easy access to time series, etc.
  • Responsive design: the new version of the website is designed to respond to the format of all devices: mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • For the visitor: FAQs on the home page provide the visitor with practical information and guidance on the most frequently asked questions by the public.
  • Social networks: in the home page, social networks, in which the Bank of Albania has an account, are integrated to supplement digital communication of its activities.

With the launching of the new website, the Bank of Albania contributes to achieving one of its key objectives of the medium-term development strategy 2018-2020, to enhance transparency over its activity, through an open communication line with the public.

The website is subject to improvement, and we welcome your comments and suggestions at [email protected]

We wish you a pleasant navigation!
