In May, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) increased for the first time in 2022 (Chart 1). The ESI’s increase by 4.6 percentage points was due to the improved confidence across almost all the sectors of economy, with more pronounced contributions from services and trade (Chart 2).
