Bank of Albania opens its Museum to the public
Since its inauguration on 30 October 2015, the Museum of the Bank of Albania has become a new destination for Albanian and foreign visitors. Located inside the headquarters of the central bank in the main square of Tirana, the Museum is designed to serve both as a museum and an educational centre for the monetary and financial history of Albania, from antiquity to modern days.
The Museum has been visited by all age groups, including many school children, students, employees from various institutions and citizens, who have had the opportunity to learn more about the various aspects of money and the economy, as well as to better understand central bank functions.
The Bank of Albania wishes to thank all the visitors to the Museum for their appreciation and support, as shown in the many comments they have left. We would like also to inform you that, starting from December 2016, the Museum will be open to the public three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
