“1, 2, 3 ... Çufo the piglet is learning to save”
At the beginning of the school year 2013-2014, the Bank of Albania launched a teaching package "1, 2, 3… Çufo the piglet is learning to save", dedicated to pupils of grades I, II and III of the elementary school. It may be used in extracurricular classes, during classes dedicated to school projects or as an inter-subject project.
The teaching package is designed as a set of tales whose main character is Çufo, the renowned piglet. The stories help these pupils learn to appreciate and care for money, encourage them to make simple calculations, and teach them about saving, as a means to meet our obligations and satisfy our needs. The worksheets have exercises that help the pupils learn through practical exercises on financial matters.
The text is designed conform to the best teaching practices for children aged from 7 to 9 years old, and the topics are selected to match their everyday experience with money and personal finance.
