Decisions by the Supervisory Council, 3 June 2026

At its meeting held on 3 June 2026, the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania reviewed the following:

• The Annual Supervision Report 2025

The Supervisory Council reviewed the Annual Supervision Report 2025, which analyses the activity of the banking system and the supervision of the Bank of Albania during 2025.

The Report outlines the main developments in the regulatory and supervisory framework, reflecting ongoing efforts to align supervisory practices with international standards and best practices. It also presents information and statistical data on entities licensed by the Bank of Albania.

• Approval of the extension of the exhibition “Money Talks:  100 Years Life and Events, Bank of Albania” 

The Supervisory Council approved the extension of the exhibition “Money Talks: 100 Years Life and Events, Bank of Albania” until 18 January 2027.

The decision was taken in view of the strong public interest in the exhibition, allowing visitors one additional year to experience its content. Through a rich collection of documents, artefacts and historical accounts, the exhibition offers an insight into the century-long history of the Bank of Albania and the national currency, illustrating the institution’s role in Albania’s economic and financial history.

The Supervisory Council was also informed of developments relating to the day-to-day operational and functional activities of the Bank of Albania.
