On 4 February 2026, the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr Gent Sejko, in his capacity as Chair of the Supervisory Council, together with the Second Deputy Governor, Ms Natasha Ahmetaj, and Mr Anastas Angjeli, members of the Supervisory Council, held an informative meeting on the day-to-day functioning and operational activities of the Bank of Albania.

The meeting focused on recent economic and monetary developments and included discussions on: (i) the administration and activities of the Bank of Albania; (ii) implementation of the monetary policy; (iii) the situation of the banking and financial system; and (iv) developments in the money and foreign exchange markets.

No decisions were taken at this meeting. The issues and decisions foreseen for the Supervisory Council meetings scheduled for February will be addressed at forthcoming meetings, once the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania is composed of the required number of members to validly convene and take decisions.
