Representatives of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan visit Bank of Albania

On 9-11 April 2025, representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by Mr Anar Mukhtarov, Head of the Resolution Department, paid a working visit to the Bank of Albania.

The visit, organized at the request of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, aimed at sharing experiences between the two institutions, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of resolution.

The Delegation held working meetings and technical discussions with experts of the Resolution Department at the Bank of Albania.

Discussions mainly focused on the role of the Bank of Albania as the Resolution Authority within the financial safety net, the establishment of Albania’s legal and methodological framework for resolution, the objectives and planning of resolution, the enhancement of banks' capacity for resolution, as well as inter-institutional cooperation at both national and international levels in the framework of resolution.

The Bank of Albania remains committed to such cooperation projects in all areas of its activity.
