Governor Sejko: Address to the graduation ceremony of the students of “Turgut Ozal” College

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Honourable members of the college,

Dear parents, and last but not least,

Dear graduates of “Turgut Ozal” College!

Today is a special day for all of us present here. Altogether, professors, parents and dear graduates, you legitimately feel proud and accomplished. Today you successfully reach the finish line after years of efforts for knowledge, since your early, childhood.

I stand here today, in front of you, as a parent myself, feeling proud and with my heart fulfilled. With immense admiration for the incredible journey you've taken throughout your high school years, I strongly believe you've grown both academically and personally.

This day is the reward for all your hard work, dedication and sacrifice, throughout this journey. You have overcome countless challenges. You have shown to have the courage and determination facing any difficulty that stands ahead of you.

I appraise the invaluable support given to you by your families, friends, and the whole school community. They have been a key factor in your journey, guiding you, encouraging you and showering you with unconditional love. They have assisted you to navigate the unknown paths of this insightful journey.

Let us take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering commitment to your success.

Graduation day is not just about getting a degree certificate; it’s about starting a new chapter of your life. It's about embracing the unknown and paving your future path. As you leave the premises of this institution, do not forget the lessons you were taught in these classrooms, the friendships and all memories you have created. Amidst the excitement of completing this stage of life and the uncertainty of what awaits you, try to nurture the values earned throughout your time studying here. Strive for excellence in everything you do, pursue your passions with unwavering determination, and embrace a lifelong love for knowledge. Appreciate the heterogeneity around you and embrace the empathy, kindness, and sympathy as you will interact with people from all walks of life.

Today's ceremony marks the ending of an important chapter. On the other hand, this graduation day also symbolizes the new challenges ahead of you. Whether you choose to go to the university, embark on a career path, or explore different passions, embrace each opportunity with enthusiasm and the belief that you may one day be able to make a difference.

Keep in mind that success is not only measured by material achievements, but by the positive impact you have on others. Be visionary leaders, pioneers of thought in your fields of interest and promoters of change in your communities. While you are about to start a new journey, do not forget the great importance of endurance and perseverance. Finally, I want to remind you all that Each of you is part of a group who have had the privilege of receiving qualitative education, with very good study conditions. As you continue your journey, remember those who may not have had the same opportunities as you did.
