Personal finance in your hands!

Personal finance in your hands  is a textbook for high school students designed by experts from the Bank of Albania in cooperation with the Institute of Educational Development and high school teachers of economics. Committed to economic and financial education of the general public, the Bank of Albania officially contributes to the curricula of Albanian high schools with the elective module Personal finance in your hands.

This module aims to introduce financial education for the first time in the high school curricula.While reading through the pages of the textbook, which employs an age-specific language, the students may learn about money management, financial products, consumer behaviour and importance of financial planning for the welfare of the households and the stability of the overall financial system.

The Bank of Albania considers that teachers play a substantial role in transferring key financial concepts to students. Before the school start, the Bank of Albania trains the teachers to help them understand adequately economic and financial concepts set out in the textbook.

Personal finance in your hands is a gift from the Bank of Albania to high school students who opt to learn more about financial education.
