STATEMENT BY THE BANK OF ALBANIA

Following the special meetings of the Supervisory Council, after a thorough and responsible analysis of the situation arising from the deplorable act of theft at the Issue Department, the management of the Bank of Albania held a special meeting with the Bank of Albania employees.

The management of the Bank of Albania urged the employees to sharpen their sense of professional scepticism and enhance cooperation in order to rigorously implement the legal and regulatory framework in force. 

The Supervisory Council and the management of the Bank of Albania are confident that the Bank's employees have the technical expertise, professional skills, moral integrity and lucid decision-making capacities for restoring the situation and the perfection of its activity.
