Activities by the Bank of Albania in the framework of the Orphans' Day

On 27 May 2013, the Bank of Albania organised social, humanitarian and educational activities in the Infant's Home and in the Children's Home 'Zyber Hallulli', Tirana.

Along with the activity in the Infant's Home in Shkodra, they were organised in the light of principles of Social and Institutional responsibilities the Bank of Albania, promotes.  As part of such activities, the Bank of Albania organised on 5 June 2012 an activity on: 'Green economy: Does it include you?' as well as, different activities held in the occasion of Albanian currency anniversary. 

During May 2013, in the framework of the Orphan Day, the employees of the Bank of Albania donated toys and monetary contribution for the children in Shkodra and Tirana. 

Educational and humanitarian activities in the Children's home 'Zyber Hallulli', Tirana, 27 May 2013

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Ardian Fullani answering to the children's curiosity, explained to them the role of the Bank of Albania institution, and its impacts in the Albanian society.

On this occasion the Governor introduced '1, 2, 3, ...  Çufo, the little piglet learns how to save', the newest educational set designed by the Bank of Albania. The set, which will be delivered for free by the Bank of Albania to the public and private schools in Albania for I, II and III graders, consists in a book of short stories about Çufo, the little piglet, workbook and teachers' book.

Bank of Albania, by this set, aims at expanding financial education in the 9 years school curricula, teaching children about handling money, making simple calculations and saving to meet the daily and long-term obligations and wishes. 

The distinguished writer for children, Gaqo Bushaka, who was advisor to the Bank of Albania in preparing this set, participated in this activity.

Thanks to the contribution of the Bank of Albania's employees, presents, school materials and computers for the science lab were delivered during the activity.

Humanitarian activity at Infant's Home 'Hana Rozafa', Tirana, 27 May 2013

Representatives of the Bank of Albania delivered clothes, toys and medicaments to the Home of Infant "Hana Rozafa", which were purchased with donations from the Bank of Albania's employees.  During this visit, a social activity was held to entertain the children. 

The Governor thanked the Bank of Albania's employees, thanks to whose voluntary contribution medicaments, indispensable equipments for the children's home, clothes and toys were purchased. In addition cultural and social activities for children entertainment took place.
