Governor Cani to attend the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings

The Bank of Albania's Governor, Mr. Shkëlqim Cani, is going to attend the joint Spring Meeting of the IMF and the WB Group that will be held on April 24-25, 2004, in Washington D.C.

During his visit in New York and Washington, Governor Cani is expected to have meetings with personalities from the IMF, the World Bank, FSVC, governors of other central banks, etc.

These meetings will focus on some of the most prominent developments of the Albanian economy, banking system, inflation and monetary policy as well as challenges that the Bank of Albania will be faced with in 2004 and in the mid-term period.

Upon returning from the USA, the Governor is going to have a concluding meeting with the IMF Mission visiting Albania.
