Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Ardian Fullani, delivered a lecture at ''Our Lady of Good Counsel'' University on: ''The Albanian economy facing the recent challenges'', 27 March 2009

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Ardian Fullani, delivered a lecture on the subject 'The Albanian economy facing the recent challenges' at the premises of 'Our Lady of Good Counsel' University in Tirana, on Friday 27 March, 2009. This speech took place in the framework of the Conference on 'The global financial crisis and the future developments', organised by 'Our Lady of Good Counsel' University and Bologna University.

The lecture was attended by the Italian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Saba D`Elia, professors, representatives from various media, students, directors and specialists of the Bank of Albania.

In His speech, Governor Fullani built a general portrayal of the main occurrences in the Albanian economy, by highlighting the contribution that the Bank of Albania has given to provide the stable and sound progress of the macroeconomic and financial stability.

Guvernor Fullani introduced the attendees with the measures that Bank of Albania has taken and the optics it shares regarding the developments in the near and more distant future.

At the conclusion, Mr. Fullani launched the opinion that the Albanian Banking system appears sound and capable to accomplish its mission.
