Decisions by the Supervisory Council, 3 August 2022

On 3 August 2022, in addition to the decision to increase the policy rate to 1.75%, as well as the overnight deposit and overnight loan rates to 0.75% and to 2.75%, respectively, the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania reviewed and decided to:

Approve some amendments in the regulation “On transactions with cash at the Bank of Albania”

The amendments set forth the technical formulations on the supply with monetary assets to commercial banks at the Bank of Albania, by adopting the Regulation to the practice pursued and the new packaging form of metal coins.

The Supervisory Council was also informed on daily functional and operational activities of the Bank of Albania.
