Bank of Albania's monetary policy to October 2000 based on the application of direct monetary policy instruments. Found under the situation when the constant executive cuts of interest rates were not followed by commercial banks, Bank of Albania at the beginning of the third quarter 2000 considered rational the reconception of operating framework establishing that its monetary policy be based on the application of market instruments.
