Dr RIDVAN BODE

Dr Ridvan Bode is a member of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania since December 2018.

Dr Ridvan Bode graduated in Finance from the Agricultural University of Tirana in 1983 and finished his postgraduate studies in Montpellier, France in 1995. He earned his PhD in Economics in 1995.

Dr Bode has served as a Minister of Finance of the Republic of Albania for an extensive period of time, more specifically during 1996-1997, 2005-2009 and 2009-2013. During this tenure, he served also as the Governor of the Republic of Albania at the World Bank Group.

From 1995 to 1996, he was the Director of the General Directorate of Customs at the Ministry of Finance. Previously, during 1983-1990, he was the head of finance at a state-owned enterprise in Librazhd.

During his career, from 1991 until 1995, he was a lecturer of financial analysis at the Agricultural University of Tirana.

Dr Bode served as a member of the Albanian Parliament from 1996 until 2017.
